CRT2231 Understanding Behaviours of Concern and Building Pos
A consistent approach in the classroom is an important and effective way to ensure students understand your expectations. This session will examine some of the reasons why challenging behaviours occur and outline positive behaviour approaches for the classroom and explore ways this can influence the engagement of students and their connection to their learning and the school community. Building power with, rather than power over learners leads to more engaged learners and a more enjoyable experience for you as the teacher. We will explore resources and approaches from the school-wide positive behaviour support (SWPBS) framework to support your learning journey.
