Professional Identity and Career Development

Description:
The AITSL Standards have become a framework by which teachers can measure the development in their career, and assess their own practice. There are three areas for a teacher to consider - Professional Practice, Professional Knowledge and Professional Engagement and they are defined for  Graduate, Proficient, Highly Accomplished and Lead stages of teaching.  Understand the breadth of the standards can  increase your understanding of how the standards can assist you in developing your practice. (The focus of the course is not about moving from a provisional to fully registered teacher).

Standards addressed:

• 7.1.2 Meet professional ethics and responsibilities
• 7.2.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements
