Description:
The effects of trauma can show up in different, unexpected ways and sometimes at unusual times. Focusing on trauma is particularly important after the last 2 years of covid- more children may be experiencing trauma than ever before. Supporting children who have experienced trauma requires attention to the detail of decisions made in how to handle situations. In this session the presenter will focus on supporting educators to understand the different types of trauma and share strategies that will help the child and their family.
