The program will look at:

Literacy and pre-literacy is an important component of any high quality early childhood program. Sometimes, adding literacy elements to a program means changing an activity slightly or just being more explicit with the children and families about what's happening in a part of the room.

In this program Shellie will share:

  • What is literacy?
  • How she includes literacy in her program
  • Making literacy experiences visible
  • Promoting literacy learning to families
